For those we left behind, 3 Vettes took off from Salisbury at 7 am with Charlie there to send us off. Trueman, Roger & Leontine, Roger & Angie (photo 1). Into the sunshine by 10:00. After lunch in Edmundston, Roger & Leontine dropped the top. They were ok til we got near the St Laurent, where we ran into 10 degrees & fog. Great driving until we hit heavy rain, arriving at our hotel in Boucherville by 4:30 (photo 2). Out to La Cage Aux Sports by taxi.
Day 2: after a hot buffet breakfast we hit the 30 avoiding a lot of Montreal traffic. Temp reached 21 when we entered Ontario. A beautiful, sunny day as we were joined by Bob & Carolyn. Landed at our hotel in Trenton by noon after a very comfortable drive. Looking forward to meeting up with Corvette couples from this area. (Photo 3).
After a relaxing lunch, the sun shines bright, and we are met by Donna & Dave Case. Donna brought us to tour the National Air Force museum of Canada here in Trenton. (Photo 4, 5, 6 & 7). Then we walked around one of the Trent-Severn Waterway locks. Absolutely fascinating. Check it out: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trent–Severn_Waterway
We take advantage of Dave's wash facility and the guys clean up the cars while the ladies relax on deck. Absolutely beautiful property situated along a canel. What a gorgeous home.
Two more couples & a single join us for an Italian meal at Tomasso's. We finished the day with reading material for tomorrow's tour of the Trenton area, including a tour of their wine country, with maybe a little taste here and there.
