July 21 - Lipton Cottage Picnic

On a picture perfect day, 7 GMCC cars and 3 cars from the Nova Scotia club gathered on the lawn of GMCC members Mike and Jeanne Lipton's lovely cottage on the shore of the Northumberland Strait east of Tatamagouche, NS.  The view from the cottage deck is both breathtaking and tranquil and offered the perfect location for an afternoon of barbecue, story telling, jokes and fellowship.  A staircase down to the beach afforded us the opportunity to wander the shore in search of interesting glass, rocks and shells.  Although the turnout was less than expected, those who did attend all drove home with smiles on their faces after an excellent day at the shore.
