This was the final run of the 2015 season for the GMCC and we sure wound it up in style!  Corvettes from all over New Brunswick and Nova Scotia joined GMCC members in a memorable run to the beautiful luxury resort of Fox Harb'r just outside Wallace, NS.  On this cool, overcast morning, we left Moncton in a caravan of approximately 40 cars, headed for a rest stop just beyond Oxford, NS where we were to be joined by members of the Nova Scotia club.  All went as planned and by the time we departed from the rest stop, our caravan had swelled to 54 Corvettes and three others for a total count of 57 vehicles (or thereabouts).  Everyone agreed that this was the largest caravan ever for a regional run, only exceeded by events in the States we had attended over the years.  We drove through the Nova Scotia countryside to the Northumberland Strait coast at Wallace and wound our way from there to the resort where we were greeted with enthusiasm.  A cameraman was mounted in a boom truck on the driveway to record our arrival and pictures will be posted on their website.  Although the size of our group strained their restaurant resources, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the club house dining room and we thank the management and staff for their gracious hospitality.  After lunch,  it was proposed that we make this an annual event on our calendar and and the response was heartily applauded by all in attendance.  We concluded our visit with a drive past the airport hangar and runway, through the residential section to the marina and the home of owner Ron Joyce where we stopped for a photo opportunity.
Upon departing Fox Harb'r, we drove east along the coast to Malagash and the vineyards of Jost Winery to enjoy the scenery, do a bit of tasting and buy some favourite wines.  From there, the Moncton group split off and headed for home, travelling the scenic coastal route through Pugwash and Northport to Amherst where we joined the Trans Canada Highway for the rest of the journey.  What a great day, thanks to Roger and Angie!
And now it's time to clean up the cars, put them away for the winter and begin planning our 2016 event calendar!
