Greater Moncton Corvette Club
Minutes of July 2, 2012

The regular monthly meeting of the Greater Moncton Corvette Club was held in the Lounsburys meeting room with the following members in attendance. Bob Surrette, Roger Bourgeois, Steve White, Paul Dunn, Susan & Brent Crawford, Chanel Michaud, Art & Diane Belliveau, Leontine & Roger Boudreau, Wornick Price, Suzanne & Gary Gaskin, Dwight & Libby Rayworth, & new members Kim & Ed Slade.

The June minutes stood as read.

Twenty cars from GMCC attended Fiberglass Alley in Fredericton.  Roger & Angie attended the great supper meal following the show.

Eleven corvettes participated in a Parade for Veterans held in Springhill on June 29.  Stephen Gallant, who is in the Navy, is making a trip on his motor bike across Canada and into the Eastern States to show awareness for Veterans.

Nineteen cars took part in our run to St. Martin's on July 1.  The weather was perfect.

Financial Report

Wornick gave a balance as of July 1 -                Motion – It was moved by Leontine, seconded by Paul, that the financial report be accepted.  Motion carried.

Gas Cards have been won by Paul Dunn (2) and Doug MacDonald (1)  to date.  At the St. Martin's run, Dwight and Libby & Wornick each won $20 in gift certificates in payment towards their meals  purchased at "the Cave".

New Business

A trip to King's Landing has been planned for Saturday, July 7 leaving McDonald's Magnetic hill at 10:00 a.m. 

Our Car Show at the Atlantic Nationals -

T-shirts have been ordered.  Angie & Roger are renting a golf cart to use to carry people and things around Centennial Park on the day of our show.    Supper will be held at Jeanne's Restaurant on Mountain Road at 4:00 p.m., after our show on Saturday.  We will be ordering from the menu.

Paul Dunn has been planning a weekend trip to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia leaving on Saturday, August 4.  Details are on the web site.

August 18 & 19 is the Prince Edward Island Car Show.    July 11 we are sponsoring the Cruise to the Bay.  Please plan to attend to help park cars.

Motion from Roger & Paul to adjourn came at 7:40 p.m.  Motion carried.

$14 was won by Leontine in the 50/50 draw.
