Greater Moncton Corvette Club
Minutes of October 1, 2012

The regular monthly meeting of the Greater Moncton Corvette Club was held in the Lounsbury's meeting room on October 1, 2012 with the following members present.

Don MacAulay, Leontine & Roger Boudreau, Charles Gould, Pat Roy, Dave & Louise Fife, Brent Crawford, Dwight & Libby Rayworth, Roger Bourgeois, Rick Wood, Paul Dunn, Wornick Price, Gary Gaskin, Steve White, Gerry & Annette Warren, Mike and Jeanie Lipton.

Old Business

We missed the St. Antoine car show as we had the wrong date listed for it.

Roger Bourgeois has information on the New England Caravan for 2014 taking place in August 2014.  A guide to lead the Atlantic area corvettes to New England is needed.

A large number of corvettes made the trip to Alma.  We stopped at Bob and Lana Cooks' on the way to tour their large collection of cars and memorabilia.  They hosted us with coffee and goodies in their impressive garage.  We continued on and toured Crooked Creek and then on to Alma to eat lunch.  After lunch we toured Cape Enrage and enjoyed a scenic ride home, stopping in Hillsborough for ice-cream and touring through the back roads of Hillsborough to Moncton.

It was noted that when events are planned, make sure if you leave the group that the organizer of the event is informed if your plans change.  This is imperative as the event planner feels responsible for all the cars taking part in the event.

Financial Report

Wornick presented the financial report  (see attached sheet).  As of October 1, we have a balance as of  $         .  Motion:  It was moved by Leontine/seconded by Steve that the financial report be accepted.  Carried

New Business

Roger reported on his and Angie's trip to Massachusetts to the Vettes to Vettes weekend.  They met up with Ron & Ann Gould and Arnie & Gloria Adams.  The event raised $18,000 in cash and $35,000 in supplies.

The President's Run will be a trip to Jemseg on October 7, leaving McDonalds Magnetic Hill at 9:30 a.m.

On October 14 the Maritime Motorsport Hall of Fame is holding their 3rd birthday bash.  We are invited.

There will be a run on Sunday, October 28 taking the back roads from Dieppe to Sackville and surrounding area with a meal planned for Patterson's Restaurant in Sackville.

We thank Paul for submitting stories he has written about GMCC trips that we have participated in.

The Atlantic Corvette Club meeting will be held on October 20 at Lounsbury's meeting room.  Everyone can attend but only executive members can speak.

Lounsbury's has offered us a new meeting room to use.  A decision will be made whether to change locations or not once the club views the suggested new room.

Lounsbury's is interested in our holding a car show here next year during the second week of June.

Motion to adjourn came from Pat, seconded by Wornick.  Carried

Steve won $17.00 in our 50/50 draw.
