HATE2W8

Nine Corvettes met at McDonalds, Magnetic Hill, for a not-so-mystery, mystery run.  Wornick led the pack with HATE2W8 keeping track of the back.   Our leisurely drive started out on the Homestead Road, turning onto the Old Fredericton Road and going West.  It was fun to travel on the old TCH (112) as we had not been that way in some time and a lot of changes have taken place over the past 10 years or so with all of the favorite stop spots now closed.... Pam's, Black's, ....  Through Canaan Forks, across the beautiful and very colorfully lined Canaan River ... then on Route 10 going West to Youngs' Cove.  Our first stretch stop was at McCready's Irving.  Back in the Vettes and on our way through Waterborough, Mill Cove, along Grand Lake, then to route 695 going North.  Once in Jemseg, we boarded the Gagetown Ferry.  The first thing we spot getting off the ferry is the oreo cows... you'd have to see them to understand their nickname.  Now on highway 102, we have a fantastic view of the Otnabog Lake and Long Island.  Our next stop is for food (eating is what we do best when we aren't driving) at the Evandale Inn.  What a wonderful meal and lots of laughs.  Back on the Evandale Ferry to Karrs... onto Highway 124 through Hatfield Point, Norton, Hampton, Sussex and then homeward bound.   It was a great day... not quite as warm as a couple of weeks' ago, but we were able to take the top off for the drive home.   Angie
