Greater Moncton Corvette Club
Minutes of May 6, 2013

The regular monthly meeting of the Greater Moncton Corvette Club was held at the Lounsburys meeting room with the following members present:  Roger and Angie Bourgeois, Bob Surette, Chanel Michaud, Dwight and Libby Rayworth, Charles Gould, Wornick Price, Don MacAulay, Art and Diane Belliveau, Annette and Gerry Warren, Doug MacDonald, Paul Dunn, Pat Roy, Dave and Louise Fyfe, Gary Gaskin, Roger and Leontine Boudreau.

The April minutes were approved as read.

Old Business

Speed Sport

Our corvettes looked nice, with Bob Cook's corvette displayed on a turn table making things look extra nice..  Next year marks the 40th Anniversary of Speed Sport.  We should try to do something special for next year's GMCC's display of cars.

Wornick had a float of $300.  He spent $21.12 for new eyelets for the stands and $29.58 for other supplies.  Tickets cost $100.00 for a total of $149.30 for expenses. 

Financial Report

Balance of May 3, is $_________ .

It was moved by Doug, seconded by Bob that the financial report be accepted.  Motion Carried.

There were no bills for payment.

Cruise to the Bay is a go for this summer.  Our nights to sponsor are June 5 and July 10.

There will also be car shows at the Dieppe Plaza A & W:

Wednesday's May 29 – October 23  6:00 p.m. – dark and

Sundays, June 1 – October 27  10:00 a.m. - Lunch

There will also be a car show at Canadian Tire in Dieppe at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday nights.

We will take part in a car show at Lounsbury's on June 8, 2013.  There will be no judging at this show.  The Autism Recourse Centre will provide a BBQ.

There will be a BBQ on May 19 at the Maritime Motorsport Hall of Fame in Petitcodiac.  Meet at MacDonald's at 11:00 a.m.

We will have our annual lobster party at L'Aboiteau on June 23.  Meet at Canadian Tire in Shediac at 11:00 a.m.   Everyone will purchase their own lobster.

Our trip for Brunch to Cape Jourmaine Nature Centre in Bayfield has had to be rescheduled as the park is not open yet.  We will reissue a new date later.

New Business

River Valley Vettes are holding a run on May 11.  Please RSVP by May 9 to vjpat6@gmail.com

Advice from Doug:

-   Don't tint or darken your car windows – you could be fined.
-   Put your second sticker for seasonal plates on your front windshield above your safety sticker inside your car.

Chanel won $20.50 in the 50/50 draw.
