Under threatening skies, 8 Corvettes left Moncton this morning for Truro and the annual Maritime Meet hosted by the Nova Scotia Corvette club.  Along the way, we added one more in Sackville, NB and another at the toll booths at the Cobequid Pass so we were 10 cars strong when we arrived at Stuart Kia, the site of the show.  We travelled through some mist and damp roads on the trip down so everyone headed for the wash bay or the hose out back to clean up their cars before parking.  Although generally overcast, it was mostly dry for the duration of the show with the exception of a couple of short periods of heavy mist when even Roger and Leontine had to put up the convertible top to keep their pace car dry.  When the awards were announced, Roger and Leontine's 2007 atomic orange convertible pace car took second place in the C6 category and GMCC won the club participation award, accepted by the club president, Roger Bourgeois.  With the exception of a few strays, most of the group went to the Super 8 after the show for food and drink before heading for home.
