Present :  Roger and Angela Bourgeois, Bob Cormier, Rick and Helen Estabrooks, Tom and Terri Osler, Don MacAulay, Carrie Anne and Richard Rioux, Ed LeBlanc, Scott Mullin, Marc and Sandra Melanson, and new member Dave MacPherson.

President Roger Bourgeois welcomed all and introduced new member Dave MacPherson. President advised we have reached membership of 109.

Minutes of August meeting were read by Secretary Helen Estabrooks and were accepted as read.

Old Business :  President reported on past month events.  1)  Aug 7, members drove up to Saint John for the CSNB poker run, had a great day.  Brian McQuinn led the group when we left Saint John Coastal Tire, who has become their club major sponsor, as Steel Group that bought Bretts was not interested in continuing.  We drove through some streets in downtown and kept together.  Drove in back of Lilly Lake, a very nice area, then on to Hampton Brewery via back roads.  Had a late lunch and even though we didn't win at poker Rick and Helen Estabrooks won with 4 twos a sum of $480 and 50/50 was won by Darlene Estabrooks and Ray Cormier an amount in excess of $100.
2)  Same date was the Saturday Night cruise on Mountain Road, part of the Atlantic nationals.
3)  Aug 14 members went to Springhill, a tour organized by Don MacAulay and Debbie MacPherson.  Toured Springhill mine and went underground which brought back memories for President as this the location of his first date with wife Angie.  Had a great meal and then on to tour Anne Murray Centre.  She is a very accomplished singer known around the world.  Museum holds numerous records, awards and recognition from her career.  Very enjoyable trip, thank you to Don and Debbie for organizing and leading the group.  19 cars attended event.
4)  Atlantic Nationals Aug 21/22 went very well after Friday.  Registration due to Covid was done on line, pick up of package and bracelet in the drive through at Lounsbury's was difficult as some did not respect the line.  Saturday we had 40 cars, way below our usual, but great weather was welcomed.  President thanked those that helped install banners and flags, Tom and Teri Osler, Bob Cormier, Helen Estabrooks, Greg Zwicker, and Don MacAulay.  Bob also used his truck to install and remove banner, bought and donated water and pop for Autism BBQ which was very much appreciated.  Autism did not have the expected crowd; sales were down as general traffic was down considerably due to the park being divided in two due to construction in the middle.  We still believe we have the best spot where there are plenty of tables, trees for shade when needed or sun.  Participants toured mountain Road in the evening , some stopped to watch the cars go by and others relaxed at area hotels with friends.  Sunday was another great summer day with most corvettes retuning for the day.
5)  Aug 20 was PEI tour organized and lead by Carrie Anne and Richard Rioux, their first trip with the club.  Crossing to Gateway Village went very smooth.  Met up with Errol and Dionne Callbeck, he is the president of the PEI Club.  Errol had agreed to lead from there with directions supplied by Carrie Anne and Richard.  We toured provincial park Shipbuilding Museum with Blacksmith shop and shipyard owner house from 1800, from there we went for great lunch and stop at Wind Mills in North Cape.  Left and went to Stompin Tom museum before going to Summerside waterfront for coffee where we had a large parking lot to ourselves.  Members dispersed one after another going different ways.  We had 5 cars from the Island with us.  We proceeded toward home with a few members.  Thanks to Carrie Anne and Richard for a very enjoyable trip.

Financial Report :  In absence of Treasurer, report was provided by President.  Deposits of $983.83, Expenses of $748.89 leaving balance of XXXX.  $235 to be deposited from members paying for name tags and sale of old banners.  New Balance XXXX.  Motion to accept report made by Teri and seconded by Bob, all in favour motion carried.

Bills for payment $100 for gas cards for future trips and $48.50 bridge pass which was purchased for PEI trip.

New Business: 1)  2nd Anniversary banner has been given to Lounsbury as they have been a good sponsor, banner provided for camero show and another with be given back for our corvette show, they own the banners but up to now did not want to leave at dealership, they will be left there now.  Other old banners - C1 went to Bob with silent auction bid of $40 and 25th anniversary banner to Richard for $15.  Thanks to all who sent bids, money to be deposited.
2) Upcoming Events:   St Martin tour which was supposed to be on Sept 5 was cancelled as Bob was not going to be available.  Wine tour Sept 11 to Port Elgin also cancelled as space limited due to covid restrictions, maybe on calendar for next year.

Sept 11 all makes of exotic cars leaving Lounsbury for fundraiser for hospital, only those invited are participating, cost is $1500 or more.  All proceeds to George Dumont hospital.

Sept 18 is Lounsbury Corvette Car Show, our major sponsor.  President advised he would like to have as many cars as possible participate as this is the only all corvette show this season.  Major prizes are to be drawn for with cars that are registered and T shirts for early registrants.  Hoping the weather cooperates.  He advised the Autism Centre will not be able to come to the event but donations on their behalf will be accepted at the registration desk and he advised he will make sure the money gets to them.

Sept 19 car show in St Antoine.  Club will participate in drive of the Shediac area leaving Irving in Dieppe at 1 pm and arriving at Tom and Teri Oslers in St Antoine at 2-3 for our BBQ which the Oslers are hosting this year.  An email will be sent by Teri with address and RSVP information.  Rain date Sept 25.
