Present: Dave and Kim McPherson, Rick and Helen Estabrooks, Richard and Carrie Anne Rioux, Derwin Cooling and Debbie Legge, Roger and Angela Bourgeois, Dave Fyffe, Wayne Coster, regrets sent by Scott Mullin.
Meeting called to order at 7pm by President Dave McPherson.
Minutes of Aug meeting sent prior to meeting and on web page, there being no reported errors or omissions, Secretary Helen Estabrooks moved they be accepted, seconded by Carrie Anne, all in favor, minutes accepted.
Correspondence:  Nil.
Old Business: 1) Angela presented books purchased for the Autism Resource Centre, they were reviewed by those present, all found them very informative, Angela will take to the Centre.
2)  Cindy Wilcox will be visiting the area in September and will be bringing Quad C items, some provided for Evelyne for upcoming Bathurst weekend.
3)  Roger thanked Darlene, Ray, Rick and Helen for planning and leading the excellent trip this past Saturday to the NNS Highlanders Museum, Springhill, Oxford, Seagull Pewter Store, ice cream stop and Crossroads Cycles in Pugwash, 16 corvettes participated and 3 ventured on to supper on Tatamagouche at Big Als.
4)  Dave mentioned that Kendall, Manager of Lounsbury, working on a membership card for members to present when purchasing so that a discount is provided on applicable items.  Will be reviewed in coming year as discount would apply to current members only.
5) Angela requested Dave contact Lounsbury to make sure all persons purchasing new or used corvettes be given the opportunity for a free membership to our club.  This means that a registration form would need to be completed by the purchaser and then forwarded to the club, so we are up to date on our membership list.
Financial Report:  Deposits $520, Debit $250 for reimbursement of the 10 gas cards.  Balance XXXXX.  Deposit yesterday $300 which included $150 from Teri Osler from persons paying by paypal and $150 from Action Truck Cap for sponsorship of Atlantic Nationals . Bank fees $3.75.  Balance XXXXX. 
There being no questions, moved by Roger, seconded by Angela that report be accepted, all in favor, report accepted.
Bills for payment:  Angela $$119.29 for 4 books purchased for Autism Resource Centre, $12.71 for stamps.  Motion by Debbie and seconded by Richard that Angela be paid, all in favor, motion carried.
New Business:  1) Membership for 2025 - $35 per car to be paid Jan 1 by cash, cheque or etransfer.  This should aid in the updating of the membership list.  Helen requested a copy of the membership list for Secretary minute book.
Upcoming events:
2) Grand Falls Train Trestle Bridge – new date Oct 5, Wayne will lead, leaving McDonalds Magnetic Hill 8 am, rain date Oct 12, Rick to add to calendar.  Debbie will contact Wanda Gadd to invite Fredericton Club.
3)  Truemans Lobster Run Oct 20, more details to follow.
4)  Miramichi Drag Race Sept 7 – NHRA Drag Races qualifying day, Lindou's niece, Lynne Cormier, participating, $30 per person to get in, leaving Dieppe Irving 8am, those going may want to bring a lunch, Rick to add to calendar.
5) Bathurst weekend, Harvest Festival Sept 20 to 22, leaving Dieppe Irving 9am, travelling to Neguac, Tracadie and Caraquet, Route 8.  This will provide those not from the area a chance to see that part of the province, expect some from USA, Corvette Club of NS, Corvette Club from Saint John and Fredericton to join in.  Roger advised those not travelling with group the bridge in Miramichi may be closed for repair by that time, travel King George Street then Route 8. Rick to update calendar.
6) Moon Glow/ Poker Run Saint John Sept 27 – 28, email sent by Angela to Rick to update calendar.
7)Christmas Party Nov 23 – Helen has volunteered to organize with committee of Marc who will coordinate the food catered by Knights of Columbus, Linda and Leander, Renee and Darin, Gina and Chris and Darlene and Ray. Party will follow last year, members are asked to donate to the silent auction which will be done with purchase of tickets for bags, any item donated that should be live auctioned please advise at the time of donating, Dave has agreed to help with auctioning.  Rick has volunteered to provide music for dancing.  There will be door and spot dance prizes.  All meals will require prepayment.  Capacity will be set at 100 with first choice given to current members, then other clubs will be invited. Helen will draft email to be sent to members.  Roger and Angela volunteered to pick up any donations in Moncton area. Carrie Anne motioned that Helen be provided $350 for expenses for the party and $100 or whatever amount for hall fees to be paid by Club, seconded by Debbie, all in favor, motion carried.
8) Election of Officers – Darlene will be away on holidays and has asked Angela to fill in, she will send email out advising duties of positions, President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Event Coordinator, and Communications.  All officers should attend the meetings in person.  Dave Fyffe advised members that a change of meeting dates should be done by motion.  Considering that, Angela motioned that on dates of holiday Monday the meeting will be changed to the second Monday of the month, seconded by Rick, all in favor, motion carried.  Rick to add dates of meetings to calendar to hopefully increase participation.
There will be no monthly meetings in January and February 2025.
9)  Angela motioned, seconded by Richard that Rick be reimbursed $300 for the sound system he bought to provide music for the Christmas Party, all in favor, motion carried.
10) Knights of Columbus breakfast, Angela will check out when these resume and email will be sent, Rick will add to calendar.
11)  Angela advised she did get a response to administrator for Facebook page, new member, Fawn Comeau, has accepted the position and opportunity, you will see information from her on the site.
12) Carrie Anne volunteered to translate our Constitution into French, Angela will send her copy electronically.
Next meeting Oct 7, 7pm at Lounsbury meeting room.

50/50 in the amount of $16.00 won by Roger, donated MacDonald hats won by Derwin and Kim.
