July 23, 2016 - Maritime Meet

Twelve cars travelled to Truro, NS today to take part in the annual Maritime Meet hosted by the Corvette Club of Nova Scotia at Stuart Kia.  The weather forecast called for rain and thundershowers but in spite of the forecast, more than 60 cars showed up to participate and although the day was mostly cloudy and humid, there was no rain at all during the show.  A barbecue was on site to benefit the Colchester County food bank and door prizes were drawn throughout the day.  All participants voted for their favourite cars in various classes and when the ballots were counted, we had 2 GMCC winners:

C7 1st place - Roger and Jeanne Cormier
C7 2nd place - Austin and Carolyn McKay

In addition, Roger Bourgeois accepted a plaque on behalf of GMCC for best club participation.

Finally, an award was presented to Roger and Angie Bourgeois for outstanding commitment to the Corvette hobby and the Maritime Meet.  Congratulations to all the winners.

After the show, most of the attendees enjoyed a group dinner.
